Thai Beef Lettuce Wraps

THAI BEEF LETTUCE WRAPS
Servings: 2- 4
Prep time: less than 30 minutes
2 tsp Sesame Oil
1 lb Top Sirloin Beef (thinly sliced), cut into bite-sized pieces
½ tsp Chinese Five-Spice Powder
½ tsp Salt
⅓ c Sherry or dry White Wine (or can use 2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar plus 3 Tbsp Water)
¼ cup shallots, thinly sliced
1 T sugar
1 T Chili Garlic Sauce (add 1/2 T or less if you don’t like spicy)
1/2 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
6 Green Leaf Lettuce leaves
Dry roasted peanuts
Green Onions, cut
Fresh cilantro leaves
Fresh mint leaves
Lime, cut into wedges
Heat Sesame Oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add Beef, Chinese 5-Spice, and salt, and saute about 2-4 minutes.
Add Sherry through Chili Garlic Sauce, and simmer 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickens.
Assemble wraps with meat and toppings, spritz with lime juice.
If you need more calories, add some Chicken or Vegetable Potstickers or Eggrolls!
